Laminate flooring

Laminate gives you a convincing wood look for less, with a tough printed wear layer that shrugs off scratches, dents and everyday wear — which makes it a sensible floor for busy hallways, family rooms and rentals. It is not vinyl: most laminate handles a spill you wipe up quickly but not standing water, so we steer it toward the rooms where its hard surface earns its keep and away from bathrooms.
